Join us for an immersive one-day training that will introduce your journey toward
trauma-informed practice. This Trauma Awareness Training provides foundational
knowledge on trauma, exploring its profound impacts on individuals throughout their
lives. With insights into the neuroscience behind trauma and understanding
responses such as fight, flight, and freeze, this training will deepen your awareness
of traumas long-term effects on behaviour and well-being. You will gain valuable skills
to support those affected by trauma and learn how to integrate trauma-aware
approaches into your everyday practice.
This course is ideal for professionals in social work, education, healthcare, mental
health, and community services, as well as anyone interested in understanding the
impact of trauma to better support individuals in need.
By the end of this training, participants will:
- Develop a deeper understanding of trauma and its effects on perceptions, thinking, emotional regulation, and behaviour.
- Gain the ability to recognise when trauma impacts someone’s life.
- Understand the links between trauma and behaviour.
- Recognise the importance of embedding trauma-responsive approaches in everyday practice.
- Build a deeper understanding of self-care and learn how to identify signs that trauma exposure may be impacting your well-being, enabling you to take proactive steps to maintain resilience and emotional health.
