An in-depth workshop looking at Trauma, ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences), toxic stress and ways to look after yourself and family.
In the UK, studies show that many of our children and young people will go through adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) which can dramatically increases their risk of developing significant health and social problems throughout their life.
Trauma and Mental Health challenges can be linked.
Delivered by highly qualified and experienced facilitators, this workshop will provide information around Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE's) and the effects that these can have for people later in life; the impact of trauma and stress, on both our physical and mental wellbeing; and tools and techniques for parents where Adverse Childhood Experiences have had an impact and where PCEs (Positive Childhood Experiences) can support wellbeing.
Parents supporting children in crisis may also experience aspects of trauma and stress.
By attending you will have a better understanding of:

• What are ACEs and why do they matter
• Other types of adversity
• Impact of ACEs and Trauma – What the research is telling us
