We are excited to have Shannon McElroy back to speak on trauma and how it affects the brain on May 16th! Register here by Monday, May 13th: https://forms.gle/mnMh4HJ15fqLYuzPA.
Trauma affects every part of a person’s body, but especially the brain. This training aims to leave participants with the ability to do the following:
-Participants will be able to identify Trauma vs trauma.
-Participants will learn some basic skills and techniques that can be
used to help a child who has experienced trauma.
-Participants will learn how the brain processes trauma and how
trauma treatment is designed to interrupt the maladaptive
processing so the trauma memories no longer cause intense
distress.

Please note: If you cannot attend, please let us know by the morning of Tuesday, May 7th. We plan childcare volunteers & food purchases based on those that register. Help us have enough needed volunteers and help us make sure we don't order too much food.
