Spring is in the air, so please do come and be a River champion & a cleaner this Saturday. It's really simple: You take a bag from our banner and pick-up the litter you come across, tie it up and leave your bag along the roadside.
You get to enjoy the fresh air, watch birds & be a participant in this community effort to maintain our special free-to-all green-space.
We'll be picking up litter along the banks of the Liesbeek in the Observatory section between Observatory Road bridge and the N2: Spend as much or as little time as you want - & Everyone is welcome.
We will start from our banner opposite the Hartleyvale Hockey Stadium on Liesbeek Parkway just after 9am. you can drop in any time for an hour or two to help us clean. We provide trash bags and some litter-pickers, but do remember to bring your garden gloves (and shoes/boots that are up to the challenge)! It's a large space, if you don't see us right away; we're somewhere along the banks doing or thing!
