Explore the colorful life and mysterious death of Vince “Trapper” Nelson. A legendary character even in his own lifetime, Trapper’s camp on the picturesque Loxahatchee River was a popular tourist attraction from the 1930s until 1960 and now forms an integral part of Jonathan Dickinson State Park.Please join us at Palm Beach State College, Palm Beach Gardens campus, Building BB, Meldon Hall, Room 111 for an informative lecture by local historian Josh Liller involving the life and mysterious death of Vince "Trapper" Nelson. A $5 donation is suggested and half of the proceeds collected will be donated to the Loxahatchee River Historical Society (DBA Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum), a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
