Transylvania Purchase: 250th Anniversary Commemoration

In March of 1775, Judge Richard Henderson and members of the Transylvania Land Company met with Attakullakulla and other principal leaders of the Cherokee to negotiate the Treaty of Sycamore Shoals. This resulted in the largest private land transaction in American history.
