Come to The Cornerstone for a free Lego building exercise to explore your creativity and connect with others. This in-person event at Cornerstone Community Centre is a great opportunity to unwind, have fun, explore your relationship with drugs and alchol and build something awesome with Legos. Whether you're a seasoned Lego pro or just starting out, everyone is welcome to join in the fun. Let's build some memories together!
Hosted by TransSober and Katherine Perrin who has helped many people work together more closely and find deeper connection with one another for the last 15 years. This has been done primarily in the world of charitable organisations and businesses, but the lessons she teaches – and questions she asks – are relevant in all contexts. However, her methodology is uniquely quirky: she uses Lego as a tool to aid interaction and communication!
Using Lego, Katherine has offered a rare chance for us to try out this fun way of exploring ideas together. Our group will be posed questions exploring drug and alcohol use in our lives. Members of the group will then use the Lego bricks provided to model answers, both individually and as a whole group.
There’s no right or wrong answer, and there’s no requirement of skill. All you’re encouraged to do is to let go of your inhibitions and engage in a fun activity – and maybe learn something about the people in your community… or even yourself!
