This event is designed for high school students with 504 Plans or IEPs and their parents to gain valuable insights into transitioning successfully to post-secondary education. Administrators and counselors from various colleges will provide an in-depth discussion on vocational training, academic opportunities, and address specific concerns from both students and parents. Additionally, college representatives and IU13 staff will present strategies for effective self-advocacy and outline the steps to access disability support services in a post-secondary environment, with a particular focus on learning disabilities, psychiatric conditions, and physical impairments.
