February 25-27, 2022 online and/or in personFacilitated by Dr. Gurucharan Singh Khalsa, Sita PK, and Dr. Dana Reece
What is the difference between habits, patterns, and addictions, and what can we do to shift those that are not serving our highest good? Habits, patterns, and addictions are variations on a theme that can create challenges for us when we lose control over them or they take us away from all we can do and be. To shift them, we must first develop more awareness about them, because their principal strengths are hiding and rationalizing (It's not really that big of a deal . . . I deserve it as I had a rough day . . . It's normal, everyone in my family did this . . .).
In this 20 hour CEU training, open to all curious humans, we will...
~ Learn how and why habits, patterns, and addictions are formed, and why all humans have them
~ Compassionately unearth the strategies habits, patterns, and addictions use to take hold within us
~ Explore the relationship between trauma and addiction
~ Unearth and examine our own habits and addictions with compassion
~ Realize the role of family and upbringing in the formation of habits, patterns, and addictions
~ Comprehend the relationship between codependency and addictions
~ Develop concrete, compassionate strategies to address unsupportive patterns you feel ready to shift
~ Develop a daily personal practice you can use to create lasting change
This training is open to all humans who want to explore the role of habits, patterns, and addictions in their lives. We are modifications-friendly, trauma-sensitive, and inclusive; no physical yoga is required, and no meditation experience is necessary. We will offer practices of pranayama, yoga, and meditation, which you may participate in with us, taught from the tradition of Kundalini Yoga, but all lineages and levels are welcome.
Tuition: $625
