A 90-minute Chair Movement Workshop for Anyone Suffering a Loss
When we experience a deep loss, our lives have changed forever. We can often feel like elephants stuck in the mud. Heavy-hearted. Alone. Unrecognizable to our very selves. We know there’s a reason we’re still here, in our earth bodies. But how do we find that purpose? How do we trek on?
First, it's important to physically move the pain through our bodies so the toxins don’t get stuck, causing illness. Equally important is releasing our emotional suffering to create some space for calm, balance and empowerment. We will bring the spirits of our loved ones right along with us on the journey, as we hold them steadfastly in our hearts.
In this compassionate workshop, we’ll use movement, breath, words, and sound to help release sadness, hopelessness, fear, and anger to help us move toward more empowerment and joy.
My hope is that you will leave more liberated emotionally, a bit less stuck in grief, and armed with techniques you can use to keep putting one foot in front of the next as you navigate this difficult time.
Wear comfy clothes, bring a notebook, and come join me as we continue lumbering ahead.

earned her 200-hour Yoga Teaching Certification at Inner Sea Yoga© in 2023 and her Grief Movement Guide Certification at Grief Yoga© in 2024. She is a New York Times best-selling author/illustrator of 65 children's books and a Tennessee Master Gardener. She lost her husband and writing/illustrating partner Rick Keep to cancer in Spring 2023. Since then, she says:
