Transforming creative practice: Entrepreneurial skills for the creative industries
In partnership with Innovate UK
This fully-funded workshop is suitable for creatives looking to develop their entrepreneurial skills as well as for owners of established creative organisations, perhaps looking to bring a new product or service to the market.
Utilising proven frameworks used in venture creation, such as Strategyzer’s Business Model Canvas, to translate your creative ideas into a tangible and sustainable projects, business or organisation. This involves the process of idea generation, business modelling, customer profiling, and partnership or collaboration development.
Workshop Details:
The workshop is designed to be practical, interactive and hands-on, and you’ll be putting theory into practice by comparing your own ideas with established creative business models and constructing your own.
The workshop is designed to give you clear next steps and to be an introduction to the ongoing entrepreneurship support available at the Innovation Hub and the wider University, as well as being a great way to build stronger connections to the creative industries in the city.
We will also feature experienced guest speakers Vince McConville (Innovate UK) and Emily Williams (independent Creative Consultant) who will provide valuable insights into the arts sector, cultural and creative industry and funding landscape.
This workshop will be delivered in-person at the Exeter Innovation Hub in Exeter city centre.
