Join us on Sunday, June 23, 2024 (10am to 2pm) for a free community event advocating for the mental health and wellbeing of the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, two-spirit (LGBTQIA2-s) community. The event will be held at the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center (JACCC) in Little Tokyo (Los Angeles). There will be free food, performances, speakers and a panel of community members and experts who will be discussing culturally-inclusive and community-based practices in fostering a community of care. All are welcome.
**By recommendation from the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, Asexual, Two-Spirit (LGBTQIA2-S) Underserved Cultural Communities (UsCC) subcommittee and with funding from the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA, Proposition 63), the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LACDMH) is holding a community engagement event to explore and address mental health issues impacting the Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander (AANHPI) LGBTQIA2-S community.
