“We’re here to awaken from our illusion of separateness.”
--Thich Nhat Hanh
If you are like me, there have been times recently that I have forgotten that we are one. Maybe I thought that the divine resides in all of us, just not that person. We can work with that person inside ourselves!
There is no doubt for me, that the days when I am barely holding on in survival mode, old traumas are surfacing. I notice that I can speak of a whole group of people as if “they” are the enemy. And at times, even the most precious person in the world to me appears as if they are from another planet.
If you know me, you know that I am passionate about social justice work. My focus is heightened by my awareness of the people who are being hardest hit by this this current administration.
For this workshop, I am asking you to bring to mind a situation when you have perceived either a person or a group as “the enemy.” Be open to the shift hitting the fan. It may look messy at first and smell bad AND it can be transformed from compost into a flower. Are you aware of anything that is coming up inside you that says you are too busy? What better time than Now?
More InformationThis Baltimore event occurs monthly on the third Sunday to support NVC understanding and practice.
We welcome new participants at any level. It’s fun when a ‘newbie’ comes and we, ‘newbies’ not so long ago, suddenly see that we’ve learned something important we can pass on, at the same time deepening our understanding of new contexts. If you're already skilled in NVC, we would enjoy sharing support and companionship.
$$ info: The requested fee is $50-$25 per person. Don't let the cost keep you from attending. Sustainability is important to us. Service is even more so, which we can't do unless you show up!
