Yemaya, often revered as the mother of all Orishas in Yoruba mythology, is the goddess of the ocean, motherhood, and fertility. Originating from West African spiritual traditions, Yemaya represents nurturing, protection, and the divine feminine. She is often depicted as a mermaid or a regal woman, symbolizing the deep and life-sustaining waters of the sea. Yemaya is celebrated for her compassion, healing powers, and her ability to bring comfort and strength to her followers. In this women’s healing workshop, we honor Yemaya's nurturing spirit as we seek to cultivate inner peace, emotional resilience, and a profound connection to our own feminine power.
