Trans Day of Remembrance Vigil 🕯️ Join Us, as we remember and honor those we’ve lost and find the strength to move forward as a resilient community.
Date & time: November 20, 6:30–8:00 PM
Location: St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church 207 Brodie Street South Thunder Bay
About the vigil
This is a reflective gathering to remember and honor trans lives lost to violence, discrimination, and oppression. We’ll come together in quiet solidarity, hold space for grief, and affirm our commitment to care for one another.
What to expect
Thoughtful remarks from speakers from our community. Readings of the names of trans people who we have lost this year. A candle lit after each group of names is read, in remembrance. Moments of silence for reflection and support
After the vigil
Please join us for light refreshments (coffee, tea, juice, and water). This is a chance to connect, share, and support each other in community.
Who’s welcome
Everyone. 2SLGBTQ+ community members, allies, friends, family, and local faith/community partners are all invited to stand together in remembrance.
Content note
This event includes discussion of violence and loss. Please take care of yourself in whatever way you need.
