Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) is an annual observance on November 20 that honors the memory of the trans people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-trans violence.
Participate in Transgender Day of Remembrance by attending the Amsterdam vigil on November 20 to honor all those transgender people whose lives were lost to anti-transgender violence this year, and learning about the violence and transfobia affecting the trans community. In our community we as well loose our siblings by suicide as well those we miss will be mentioned in our service.
Our Vigil is hosted by our European BPOC, migrant and refugee transgender and sexworker advocates organization Trans United Europe with support of the local groups, the vigil will be held at a soon to be announced public place of worship, and the homo monument.
The vigil involves reading a list of the names of those lost that year.
