As we journey ceremonially with the sacred plant heart medicine of the ancient tribes of Aztecs and Mayans, we call in the support of the incredibly powerful and benevolent spirit of Mama Cacao to invite us to land deeply into the heart centre as we journey through the shamanic realms in this trance dance ritual.
Shamanic Trance Dance is an ancient rite of passage and practice using a blindfold, shaking and fire breath. These elements induce an altered state of consciousness that takes us through a powerful and deep voyage into the inner realms, subconscious mind and mystical spaces.
It is an embodied shamanic journey held in a sacred space and guided through tribal rhythms, drum beats and other medicine music, carefully curated to guide us through different dimensions of existence. As well as guided throughout with shamanic tools and practices, using shakers, drum beats, sacred scents and smudging.
During this shamanic practice of embodiment and visioning we drop from the mind, into the heart and body, the mind activity drops its vibrational frequency and we move into an altered state of consciousness where the concepts of time and space disappear. This is where we get in touch with the realms of intuitive wisdom and creative power and potential. The heart and third eye vision lead the way, we surrender to the wisdom of the body and allow for the healing to happen, for the veils to become thinner and for a portal to open so our visions can come alive.
Why blindfolded? Removing our Eye Vision helps the stories and worries of how we are supposed to be and behave to drop, it gives way for other senses to become heightened and for our Third Eye Vision to awaken.
This experience is similar to a psychoactive plant medicine journey, without the sensory alteration of psychedelics. To clarify, no psychedelics are used in this ceremony. Yet this practice may induce visions and visuals similar to those experience in psychedelic journeys.
The journey is guided and held in safety and sacred space, together we co-create a safe and protected container, invoking our ancestors, spirit guides, sacred directions and elemental power so we can surrender and let go, resting in the knowing that we are deeply supported and free to let the music and body take us on a journey of self-discovery and vision questing.
The container would also offer a space for deep relation and rest at the end, as well as an integration circle and light grounding snacks.
Blindfolds are provided.
Bring a water bottle. We have blankets, yoga mats and pillows available, but you can bring your own if you prefer.
Doors open at 5.45pm and will strictly close at 6pm. No late comers will be allowed, and no refunds offered if you don't make it in time. The nature of this practice requires this to be a very contained space.
Tickets are £25 plus booking fee. If you require another payment method or you would like to pay cash on the door, DM to book.

Terms and Conditions
The ticket is not refundable. If you cannot attend, you can transfer the ticket to another person (please message me for a name change). If you inform me that you are unable to attend within 24 hours of the event, I may be able to issue a transfer to a future event, provided the minimum numbers are filled. Message me to discuss.
A refund would be issued if, due to any unforeseen circumstances, I am forced to cancel the event (ie illness or other circumstances beyond my control).

Raquel, aka Shakti Alchemy is a Womb Wisdom Keeper, Embodied Movement Facilitator, Sound & Energy Healer and Shamanic Way of the Womb Facilitator.
She draws from different modalities to create deeply nourishing and sacred spaces.
