ReBOOT: Substance Use Recovery is a 16-hour (2 days - 6/27 and 6/28) training with a unique approach led by Peers who have also experienced unhealthy substance use of alcohol, opioids, prescription Medic*tion, or recreational drugs.
This is a FREE Training Opportunity to earn hours towards becoming a Peer Recovery Specialist (PRS). Attend this training and learn how to help others and share your journey with struggling people.
"ReBOOT" is a US DHHS SAMHSA-influenced 16-hour (2 days) training.Level I uses Self-Reflection and Recovery Motivation. This leads to assisting peers with whole health management, substance use assessment, and education recovery with a 'how to' approach for all substances.It also covers trauma, TBI, and co-occurring mental health challenges, reviewing tools, coping skills, triggers, goals and objectives, and sharing the journey with Peers who have relatable personal experiences.
Suppose anyone is interested in becoming a Peer Recovery Specialist (PRS). In that case, this training is beneficial for those interested in a para-professional career in the area of comprehensive health services.
