Adventure Geek Training Hikes – Build Confidence, Fitness & Friendships 🥾
Are you booked on an Adventure Geek holiday or self-guided trip in 2026? Whether it’s Hadrian’s Wall, the West Highland Way, the Camino de Santiago, the Isle of Man Coastal Path, or even the Albanian Alps, these iconic adventures all have one thing in common – they’re more enjoyable when you’ve trained for them.
PARKING
That’s where our Training Hikes come in.
Designed for weekends, these walks give you the chance to:
✨ Build stamina and walking fitness at a steady, supportive pace.
✨ Gain confidence in your kit and test what works for you.
✨ Meet fellow adventurers who may even be on the same trip as you.
✨ Enjoy a fun, social day out in the great outdoors (with sweets at the halfway point of course!).
🥾 ABOUT THE WALK 🥾
This is such a beautiful walk as it includes many little Cotswold quiet villages with beautiful stone cottages. We pass stables, rope swings, open fields and amazing views.
We will stop for lunch at the halfway point for in Stow-On-The-World, where you can explore this fabulous town and its little nic-nac shops.

You don’t need to be booked on an Adventure Geek holiday to join – everyone is welcome. These hikes are a fantastic way to prepare for any future adventure or simply to enjoy a longer walk with like-minded people.

☕️ REFRESHMENTS: Bring refreshments with you, but we will stop at a cafe on the walk.
🎒 WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU
- If you are carrying a pack on your adventure, please bring this along.
- Walking poles (if you use them).
- A drink
- Good walking shoes or boots are essential.
- Wet weather gear (if the weather is bad).
⛑ RULES TO KEEP YOU SAFE :
- We walk in all weathers, however, if we have a weather warning then the event may be cancelled. Keep an eye on your emails and the Facebook event page for notifications of any cancellations.
- We supply free sweets at the halfway stage.
