'Exploring Archival Cataloguing'
Irish Archives Resource, Archives and Records Association (Ireland), and University College Dublin School of History.
Training event will take place in person at the Dublin City Library & Archive, Pearse Street.
We invite you to explore archival cataloguing from born digital cataloguing, cataloguing software experiences, and the art of updating old catalogues to new ISAD(G) compliant versions.
The event will include talks and an opportunity to practice some cataloguing with advice and guidance on hand.
Attendees may choose to bring their own cataloguing examples or try out samples on the day. This event is a chance to explore the theory and the practice of cataloguing.
The event is open to all levels including those starting out and those who wish a refresher .
Attendees should bring along their own laptops for the workshops.

The training will be followed by an in-person Explore Your Archive 2024 launch event at the Mansion House, Dawson Street, at 18.00.
Separate registration for the EYA launch event is required. Please see our events page.
Please note, the training event and launch will both take place in person . Due to space restrictions at the venues it will not be possible to admit anyone at the door without an Eventbrite ticket registration.
