EXFO - Mastering Fiber Testing: Tools and Techniques for Network Rollouts
Host: Jason Kraker - National Wireless Application Engineer
Info: With fiber network issues accounting for over 80% of network problems, it’s important to solve them quickly and accurately when they arise. Proper fiber inspection, cleaning, and validation—based on best practices and predefined thresholds—are critical steps to closing tickets faster, getting paid sooner, and moving on to the next job without compromising accuracy.
Join us for an interactive training session tailored for contractors and field technicians. Learn how to efficiently test fiber KPIs such as length, loss, and ORL using EXFO’s automated tools. We’ll share expert advice on how to identify and address common fiber issues, as well as discuss how automated reporting facilitates real-time centralized uploads, tracks job progress and creates closeout packages faster.

Evolving PIM Testing and Best Practices for Today's Netwoks
Host: Jed Kelley - President, Wireless Resources
Info: Jed will be speaking about the progression of PIM testing processes over the years and the current practices being applied in today’s networks from a real-world, boots-on-the-ground approach. He will focus on the most common PIM issues encountered on sites and will discuss the best practices of how to prevent and resolve them.
Jed will examine the importance of properly evaluating sites before construction or modification to proactively identify problems before they are created.
He will discuss who should be trained and why. He will emphasize the importance of analyzing site KPI and system spectrum readings to determine what type of testing, troubleshooting, and hunting will be needed before mobilizing a crew to the site.
Jed offers a perspective from a field technician’s view rather than a lab or sales perspective providing valuable feedback on what GCs encounter daily.
