IN THIS COURSE YOU WILL:
Incorporating exercises, group work and hands-on participation, Train the Presenter covers the basics of effective teaching techniques and strategies.
This course is intended for any instructor looking to develop their training skills, current instructors who have little or no formal training, or current KWU Faculty who want to refresh their skills base.
- Internalize KWU tools and standards
- Practice teaching techniques to enhance your training skill
- Learn how to incorporate productivity-boosting activities into the learning experience
- Build, effectively prepare, and deliver a short presentation
- Give and receive feedback that will contribute to learning and growth
WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
- All those interested in being selected as a Rocky Mountain Educational Services Instructor
- Anyone interested in teaching in the Market Center
- Any instructor looking to develop their training skills, or current KWU Faculty who want to refresh their skills base.
Day 1 covers KWU training models, and everyone builds a short presentation using those models. This is the training day only. You will not receive credit for completion of this course should you wish to take Train the Trainer in the future (which requires completion of both days of Train the Presenter).
Day 2 is all student presentations. Each participant delivers a 10-minute presentation and receives about 10 minutes of evaluation. You must complete both days in order to receive credit for completion of this course towards taking Train the Trainer Advanced in the future.
