AfriKin Workshop: REGENESIS — Crafting the Future

Saturday, December 5, 2026 | Miami Art Week

Overview

In advance of African Fashion Week Miami 2026: REGENESIS — Crafting the Future, the AfriKin Fashion Workshops invite guests into an intimate, behind-the-scenes exchange with visionary designers from across Africa and the African Diaspora.

Building on the momentum of Resistance on the Runway, this year’s workshops explore what comes next: renewal, reconstruction, and creative authorship. Participants will engage directly with designers whose work centers craftsmanship as innovation, heritage as technology, and fashion as a regenerative force shaping the future of global luxury.

More than a preview of the runway, the workshops immerse attendees in the evolving ecosystem of African fashion—an industry projected to exceed one trillion dollars in global value. Designers share how ancestral intelligence, contemporary design, sustainability, and forward-thinking business models converge in collections that are both culturally rooted and future-facing. Guests will also enjoy a curated shopping experience, hands-on demonstrations, and insight into the ethics, economics, and creative power of African fashion today.

Why Attend

The AfriKin Fashion Workshops offer more than access—they offer continuity and perspective. Guests engage directly with designers who are not only crafting garments, but shaping systems of care, commerce, and cultural preservation.

REGENESIS affirms African fashion as a global force of creativity, authorship, and future-making—where luxury is handcrafted, identity is unapologetic, and the future is designed with intention.

What we build after resistance defines what endures.
