
About this Event
TrailBlazers: Therapeutic Riding Adventures is a unique fall program offered by Rise & Thrive Support Services, designed specifically for Individuals with developmental disabilities, dual diagnoses, or complex special needs.
Running every Thursday in September and October 2025, this program offers participants the opportunity to engage in guided horseback trail riding experiences in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. Each session is led by qualified equine professionals with support from trained developmental support staff to ensure a positive and empowering experience for all riders.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Weekly horseback trail riding in a safe, inclusive environment
1:1 or 1:2 staff support depending on individual needs
Builds confidence, coordination, and connection
Led by certified equine professionals and Rise & Thrive support staff
Sensory-friendly, strength-based, and nature-focused
Through this program, Individuals will build:
Confidence and independence
Sensory regulation and motor coordination
Emotional connection and social engagement
Nature-based therapeutic benefits
Whether you are new to horseback riding or looking to deepen your connection with animals and the outdoors, TrailBlazers offers a transformative and joy-filled experience.

Every Thursday 12:30pm-2pm – September 4, 11, 18, 25 & October 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 2025

Who It’s For:
Individuals 16+ with developmental disabilities, dual diagnoses, or complex needs. No prior riding experience required.
Fee-for-Service Options:
Eligible for Passport funding and direct pay to Passport.
Transportation may be available upon request at an additional cost
