About this Event
Have you ever wondered who takes care of your favorite trail system or what goes into keeping our local trails in top shape? Want to know how you can help or how to report trail issues like a down tree? Join SORBA Chattanooga on April 19 at Stringers Ridge Park for Trail Stewardship 101—an introduction to the importance of volunteer trail stewardship and the small but mighty ways YOU can contribute to keeping our trails in top condition.
What is Trail Stewardship? Stewardship is the local act of assisting land management partners with maintenance, promotion, and programming to protect the trails, landscapes, and experiences trails provide. Stewardship ensures that mountain bikers, trail users, and coming generations continue to enjoy these experiences. It's what our organization was built on and does best!
Led by SORBA Chattanooga's President and experienced trail steward, this hands-on session will cover basic trail care techniques and how small efforts add up to big impacts for our entire outdoor community. No prior experience needed—just a willingness to learn and get your hands a little dirty!
