Looking for a way to support community trails and lands?Trail Ambassadors are community volunteers that serve as friendly and informative points of contact with trail users to support safe and responsible use of trails. We believe that Trail Ambassadors help to encourage a culture of kindness and stewardship that make our trails and lands safer and healthier places for our community.
New Trail Ambassador volunteers are required to attend one 90-minute training.
This training covers:
Context - overview of CCC lands and programs (10 min)
Details of Trail Ambassador program and expectations (15 min)
Strategies for engaging communications (20 min)
Logging hours (5 min)
Live acting to practice realistic scenarios (20 min)
Time for questions, feedback, and conversation (10 min)
Gear hand-out! (5 min)
