Komrads is the solo darkwave/synthpunk project of Zach Burnett, based in Rochester, NY. Since its inception in 2014, Komrads has fused the raw energy of punk with brooding electronic textures, crafting a sound that is both aggressive and atmospheric. Drawing on influences from early darkwave and post-punk, Zach’s music explores themes of control, alienation, and emotional intensity, all delivered through distorted synths, driving beats, and haunting vocals. Releases such as the 2018 album Resistor and the 2020 EP The Wraith showcase his signature style: high‑intensity, cinematic, and uncompromising. Komrads’ live performances amplify this vision, using immersive projections and lighting to create a dark, ritualistic atmosphere that fully envelops the audience.
