Join us in-person in the library or online for a 6-session class examining the entire and shocking story of the 1955 trial of Emmett Till's murderers. Using his book, Tragedy on Trial, as a guide, author Ron Collins will offer an original and in-depth account of the Till murder trial and highlight the fearless efforts of Mamie Till and the courageous friends and family who testified. Collins also will uncover the truth behind the widely read 1956 Look magazine story, correcting falsehoods that persist to this day.While it is suggested all attendees read the book, it is not required. Copies of the book are available to borrow from the library. One copy will be held at the Circulation Desk to read while in the building.
