All attendees are required to wear CSA-approved steel-toe boots that offer ankle support during the training.

Important Note:
If you don’t have access to a vehicle, please be prepared for a 20–30-minute walk to the practical training site. In some cases, travel by SkyTrain may also be necessary.

  • Be at least 16 years of age
  • Be physically capable of performing all course-related tasks
  • Have basic English communication skills
  • Present valid government-issued photo identification
  • No prior flagging or TCP training is required

Certification Details

Upon successful completion of the program, students will receive a three-year certification, recognized by WorkSafeBC as a High-Risk TCP certificate, qualifying them to work as a Traffic Control Person anywhere in British Columbia.

  • A practical assessment conducted on the road

Qualified candidates may be considered for immediate employment by Universal Flagging and GOtraffic Management.
