Workshop and Milonga with Performance !!!
Workshop from a Guest instructor Claudio Cortes
starts at 7 pm till 8 : 20 pm .
Short Bio :
Claudio is an Associate Professor and an educator at a medical school. To him, tango is about connection to beautiful music, meaningful embraces, and community. Such components help dancers to express themselves, to connect, and to enjoy life fully. At the National competition in ATUSA 2020, Claudio obtained 4th place in tango pista, 3rd place in Vals, and 2nd place in Milonga.
Since 2020, he has assisted tango sessions in Michigan, Florida, Ohio and Colorado.
Workshop :
Tango lab: come and enjoy with us !!
In this session we will create a safe space for conversation and dance. The session will be a participatory tango experience where we will be able to share and learn from ourself and from others what makes tango memorable. We will start with the embrace and walk as an essential component in tango. This workshop is built for all levels.
Topic:
Walking is the most struggling aspects in tango. In this session we will experience walking to different texture and density based on music from different orchestras. A short review to connect with your partner, followed by how to better connect with the music.
