Equinox Center of Herbal Studies is honored to offer a traditional Mayan Cacao Ceremony with indigenous Mayan healer, Nana Mimi. Sacred cacao has been used in ceremonies with indigenous Guatemalan peoples since the beginning of time. Come experience an authentic Cacao Ceremony, held by Nana Mimi, an indigenous Mayan healer from Guatemalan. Allow yourself to experience the opening and warmth of cacao when used with reverence and ritual. Please arrive at 4pm and expect approximately 4 hours for introductions, ceremony, and reflections. Tickets are sliding scale with a suggested price of $50 or more.
*Please note, as we offer money to this woman, we are also empowering multiple communities and surrounding mayan villages in the women’s collective of textile artists and healers. This is one way to participate in a reciprocal healing process to break the cycle of deep seeded colonization in Latin America.
Textiles from the women’s collective will be available to purchase as well.
Registration is required
