Traditional Indian sweetmeats and confectionery…can’t believe Diwali is just over 5 months away and this is when I begin to plan for the busy spell by planning the menu and dreaming up new creations for Purtassi, Pitr pakh, Navarathri and Diwali.
We get hugely busy during this time and I’ve already begun to plan classes, cakes, team builds along with normal day to day operation of the store. We also love hosting the sweetmeat class in the cooler months.
I’ve decided to host a few sweetmeat classes earlier this year so there is enough time for practice runs and experimentation giving you enough time to perfect your sweetmeats and confectionery.
I just love hosting the Tradional Indian Sweetmeat class and I will take you though the step by step process to making the perfect banana puri, gulab jamun, almond burfee, coconut almond poli, chana magaj, mawa ghari and gulab jamun. This class is about 4 and a half hours long.
Included in the course are all notes, ingredients, a sit down dinner and a gift box of sweet meats prepared.
