Come learn a bit of embroidery history along with 10 basic stitches that you can use when doing handy work. Create a small sampler of stitches to use for reference in your work. Cathy will bring her collection of small samplers and examples for you to study. We will learn and practice each stitch. Whether you are creating your own designs, using hand stitching for clothing or adding details to quilts, this workshop will give you a solid understanding of each stitch. Please bring a solid white or light-colored piece of plain fabric about 10x12 inches, a small 5 or 6 inch hoop (or I have some to loan), small scissors, a thimble if you use one. I will bring a variety of threads and needles for everyone to use.
