This 3 hour short course, presented by Robyn Anderson of Calligraphy Joburg, is aimed at anyone wanting to learn the basics of traditional calligraphy without committing to a full course.
Suitable for complete beginners, or anyone who’s tried calligraphy and needs a little more help.
This workshop will be fun and is meant to demystify calligraphy and give you a little taste of what it’s all about without leaving you feeling overwhelmed.. it’s NOT going to be a serious workshop, and you’re not going to leave as a Calligraphy Master! ?
We’ll cover the following:
* The correct way to hold your calligraphy pen
* Italic lowercase alphabet
* Uppercase alphabet
* How to select and purchase a pen
* How to care for your pen
Please note, this is not a dipping pen workshop and you will use my Lamy pens during the class. You are welcome to bring your own pens to use as well.
If you have already completed a Beginners Workshop, then you are welcome to join this workshop for uppercase and some layout
All materials supplied to use during the workshop
I will have ‘fancy’ Lamy pens and ink, and various other items for sale as well ? (especially for all the pen addicts)
