OMAH is now accepting submissions for our annual juried exhibition, Tradition Transformed, which opens October 26, 2024. Artists are invited to consider what the Canadian landscape means to them. Submissions are $40 each + HST. This year’s jurors are artist, Tony Bianco, whose has been featured on over 100 coins produced by the Royal Canadian Mint, along with Matt Coles, Director of the Algonquin Art Centre in Algonquin Park. This exhibition was created in recognition of landscape artist and Group of Seven member, Franklin Carmichael, who was born in Orillia. Now in its 23rd year, this exhibition calls on artists from across the country to submit work that reimagines the Canadian landscape through the artist’s chosen medium, including but not limited to drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, photography and media arts. Please visit our website for submission guidelines and to apply. Submissions are open until August 16.
