his year, to make sure everyone is on the same page about the timing, route, road closure, and rules of the Cruise ahead of the event, I invite you to join me and Judy Stipe from the Sequim Museum for an informal meeting to talk about all things Tractor Cruise. Do you know someone who expressed interest in joining, or who has joined us before but is not someone who checks email? Please help us spread the word! We are also creating an event on Facebook to help reach even more tractor having, Christmas loving folks.
I realize that there are some of you folks who have done this for far longer than I have been in this role at the Chamber (this will be my 5th Hometown Holidays event since taking this role). I am looking forward to hearing from you about what we are doing right, and what you would ask that we do differently. We have been meeting with the City since late July in planning, including securing the funding that will again close Washington Street from Sequim Avenue to 5th, and as you can imagine, both working through permitting and with our insurance company, we are subject to many rules ourselves.
It will be a pleasure to meet you all and thank you in person for the joy you create with your lighted tractors every year - I hope you can join us.
