Track Race Series - 1 mile + 4x400m Relay

Ryde Harriers are hosting a track race series, at the fairway Sandown, as part of the club’s summer series. This year there will be a track race approximately once a month, from May to September.
This year, all runners are requested to use the free online entry portal to register for each event, so that estimated finish times can be collected. If there are sufficient numbers entered for each event, the plan is to hold multiple races each evening, with each race will be seeded by estimated finish time. Entry on the day will still be accepted, but online registration is preferred even if you are not 100% certain you can attend.

The track races are also open to all the island clubs to run as guests, cost is £1.50 each evening for non-Ryde Harriers (payable at number collection), as a contribution to track hire. There are no prizes, just racing for glory.
Race numbers are to be collected from the track side cabin, once you have got your race number, please also register yourself with the officials track side.
Club T-Shirts/Vests to be worn.
Thanks in advance to IOW AC for organising track officials for these races. Additional help with lap counting is also required, so please bring along supporters.
Track races will be held at the fairway Sandown, which will be open from 18:30 with races starting at 19:00 prompt, on the following Thursdays:
(Minimum ages)
1st May 2025 – 5,000m (15 and over)
22nd May 2025 - 3,000m (13 and over)
26th June 2025 - 10,000m - IOW Championship (17 and over)
31st July 2025 – 5,000m - IOW Championship (15 and over)
28th Aug 2025 - 3,000m (13 and over)
25th Sep 2025 - 1mile (any age) + 4x400m Relay (any age)
UKA Rule (141 S2) maximum track distances permitted by age will apply, and will be the responsibility of the competing club.
o U13 not exceeding one mile (but greater than 400m)
o U15 not exceeding 3000m
o U17 not exceeding 5000m
o U20 not exceeding 10000m
Note: At this time, none of the races will have a track licence, so none of the results will be submitted to Power of 10. (But this could change if there is sufficient attendance, available officials, and interest in obtaining a track licence.)
