Tracer Heights fuses rock, blues and bluegrass with psychedelic improvisational music.
The band is built around the talents of Ben Hoppes, who sings and plays an electric banjo with live electronics, creating very unique sound. You'll hear shades of Hendrix, BB King, Paul Gilbert, Trey Anastasio, and Bela Fleck, all coming from the banjo.
On drums and also vocals we have Joshua Pohl, who brings many years of percussion experience studying the likes of Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmen, Jon Fishman, Nico McBrain and Larry Mullen Jr, along with a stellar voice to the group.
Jeremy Clark plays bass guitar and vocals, leaning on influences from Duck Dunn, James Jamerson, Phil Lesh, and Mike Gordon. He can create a solid glue for the rest of the band to build on, while also always being ready to take charge and lead a jam to new heights.
