The Topeka Police Department is proud to announce they will be hosting a community safety forum, fostering open communication, sharing public safety information, and working together with the community to address crime and enhance neighborhood well-being.The forum will take place on August 18th, from 6pm to 8pm at Hillcrest Community Center, 1800 SE 21st St, and will serve as a platform for Topeka residents to hear directly from their police officers. Topics of discussion will include:
•Current crime statistics for the City
•Ongoing initiatives the department is implementing to reduce crime
•Crime prevention tips to help residents stay safe
•Open forum discussion to hear from community members about issues, concerns, and ideas
This forum is an opportunity for the public and TPD to come together, share information, and build stronger partnerships. We want to be transparent about what’s happening in our city and work collaboratively on solutions.
This meeting is open to the public and we encourage all residents and business owners to attend.
