All motorcycle enthusiasts and riders are encouraged to donate to a toy drive during Arcadia Bike Fest on Saturday, November1, 2025. Please bring unwrapped, new toys to help DeSoto County families during the holidays.The toys will benefit three local community entities who provide impactful holiday programs for local youth:
- The Arcadia Police Department’s Shop with a Cop program
- The DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office’s Shop with a Sheriff program
- The Marine Corps Reserves DeSoto County for Toys for Tots.
The Toy Drive is being hosted by the American Legion Riders District 8 and American Legion Riders Chapter 11. Both Arcadia Main Street and the Arcadia-DeSoto County Habitat for Humanity have also made the toy drive possible.
WHAT IS NEEDED?
Toys for all ages are needed for the holiday programs and should be new and unwrapped. Walmart gift cards are also welcomed. Checks and monetary donations will also be accepted. Any donated stuffed animals may be provided to first responders to assist during calls involving children. Please do not donate electronics.
HOW WILL THEY BE COLLECTED?
The toys will be collected during Arcadia Bike Fest in various toy collection boxes spread throughout Oak Street and within Arcadia-DeSoto County Habitat for Humanity vehicles along one of the side streets of the festival. The Arcadia Police Department has agreed to patrol the toy collection boxes and empty them as necessary.
