Illume Learning is thrilled to present this highly requested workshop especially for teaching assistants!Teaching assistants are essential to the success of inclusive classrooms - but the role is often shaped by expectations that don’t reflect what we now know about best practice. This workshop is designed specifically for teaching assistants who want to build their knowledge, feel confident in their role, and provide support that makes a genuine, positive impact.
You’ll explore what the research says about inclusion and the role of TAs, and gain practical strategies you can start using straight away. The day draws on international evidence and real examples from schools across Australia and New Zealand - and is grounded in respect for the rights and strengths of every student.
Whether you’re new to the job or have years of experience, this is a chance to deepen your understanding, ask questions, and connect with others who care deeply about inclusion.
Discover how to:
-Support students respectfully and effectively
-Promote independence and inclusion
-Understand behaviour through a strengths-based lens
-Make a lasting difference in your school
