In addition, there is a six hour option, so that you can start with the marathon runners and run as much or as little as you want in the 6 hours.
For those who don't mind multi-lap runs, this will be the 19th running of Newcastle upon Tyne’s marathon over a traffic-free 7 lap course (or half of that for a half marathon) on good footpaths through and around its historic Exhibition Park and Town Moor. Road shoes are perfect for this event.
There will be portable toilets available outside the Boathouse headquarters and bags may be left in the NEMC tent at your own risk. There is a feed station supplying water, juice and sweets on each lap. You are welcome to bring your own labelled food and drinks to leave at the station. There is a medal, crisps and chocolate for all finishers. The event will be chip timed if entry numbers justify the cost.
6 hour limit.
Marathon and 6 hour run start is 09:30 and the half is at 10:30
Entries on the day will be available at £30. All entry on the day money will go directly to charity
