This stunning paddle takes in chocolate box and glass fronted wish-list properties, locks that allow you to by-pass Insta worthy weirs, dating as far back as the early 1800's, flanked by quintessential English countryside.Our experienced guide will lead you past stunning architectural highlights such as the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in the city centre, the rust girders of the GWR Bridge used to carry the Stratford to Cheltenham railway line. All Saints Church at Luddington, thought to be the church where Shakespeare and Anne Hathaway were married in 1582 and the old packhorse bridge at Binton built in 1216.
We'll enjoy a riverside picnic lunch and plenty of floating paddle snacks and of course there's the post paddle riverside pub for well earned refreshments before heading home full hearted.
This is an 11 mile / 17km paddle. The day will be broken up with plenty of stops and with two guides the pace of the paddle can be matched to suit a diverse group. There will be a short car shuttle amongst the group to bring the start and end paddle points together. NOTE: There are 7 weirs to portage around, the walk is minimal, you will however need to feel confident getting on and off your board. Occasionally dropping down into the water from small elevation. Our guides will be on-hand to help.
