DESCRIPTION:
Have you ever tried towing someone? This event will introduce towing to those who haven’t done it before, and maintain the skills of experienced members. It is not too difficult with a team of other paddlers all helping to get the injured/sick kayaker back safely. Which type of tow is best in different circumstances and what type of tow line is best? Join us as we try out different towing methods and tow lines and learn how to work as an efficient team. We have tow lines for you to try. You don’t need your own; some are homemade, some are commercial ones.
Note that ratios/quotas will apply depending on the number of Instructors or Leaders on a trip. We may take pictures of the trip and mention your name on our website. If you have any concerns about this, let the trip leader know.
