About this Event
This first event in our new Industry Mixer series brings local tourism partners together to spark connection, collaboration, and shared momentum across Nanaimo’s visitor economy.
Through a real-world community case study, we’ll explore how destinations like Chilliwack and Burnaby faced similar product challenges and how strategic partnerships helped them strengthen experiences, grow visitation, and tell a more compelling destination story. The session is designed to inspire a cooperative mindset and show what’s possible when businesses align around a shared vision.
Participants will also take part in practical media training, building confidence to speak about their own businesses and Nanaimo as a whole. By strengthening our storytelling skills and clarifying our collective message, attendees will leave better equipped to act as ambassadors for the destination.
By understanding how relationships drive success and how to communicate that story, participants will leave ready to make new connections, spark ideas, and build the next generation of tourism experiences together.
Light refreshments will be provided. Event occurs in the Ladysmith Ballroom.
