About this Event
The University of the Highlands and Islands’ mission is to have a transformational impact on the prospects of our region, its economy, its people and its communities. This focus on delivering benefits locally is reflected in the concept of a ‘civic university’, an institution which integrates teaching, research and engagement with the outside world in such a way that each enhances the other without diminishing their quality.
How is UHI achieving these goals now, and how could the university better engage with your communities, your businesses and other external partners to increase the benefit to our region? This Knowledge Exchange Stakeholder Event, jointly organised by UHI’s Tourism, Creative Economy and Land & Communities Knowledge Exchange Sector Groups, will explore examples of successful past and present collaborations, future aspirations and how you can benefit from academic funding sources.
Attendees are invited to consider how the skills and expertise of UHI staff could contribute to improving your business or communities, helping you develop new products, new income streams and new routes to sustainable wellbeing.
