About this Event

Welcome Aboard Tour with TasPorts!

We invite you aboard for Tour with TasPorts – a fun, family-friendly and informative event, providing you with a unique insight into our operations at the Port of Hobart as part of the Australian Wooden Boat Festival 2025.

Your Tour with TasPorts begins at Brooke Street Pier upon the Peppermint Bay II. From here, we head along Sullivan’s Cove, with its historic docks, wharves, and piers, getting an up-close look at some of the beautiful wooden boats on display at the festival. Next, we travel north on the River Derwent past the Macquarie Wharves, transit under the Tasman Bridge on our way to Shag Bay and the Selfs Point Fuel Terminal, before returning to Brooke Street Pier.

Tour with TasPorts is so much more than a river cruise! With a guest host providing insight into the many impressive tall ships and wooden boats, this trip will have a little something for everyone! Along the way, you will learn how a modern port operates, how we ensure maritime safety, and how we’re planning for the future.

For an auslan interpreted expereince, book the 10:20am tour!

We might even catch the Yandeyarra and Mount Florance tugs or the Kelly pilot boat in action!

The Peppermint Bay II is ideal for cruising the River Derwent and viewing port operations with indoor and outdoor seating. Tours are suitable for all ages, and the vessel can accommodate prams and wheelchairs. Food and drinks will be available to purchase onboard.

For more details, FAQs, and accessibility information, please visit the Tour with TasPorts website.

All ticket fees will be donated to the Mission to Seafarers. You can read more about the Mission and its work here.
