Come and tour the Union Pacific Museum in historic Council Bluffs, the town that was visited by Abraham Lincoln on November 17th 1863 to determine the eastern terminus of the Union Pacific Railroad. See this beautiful and unique Beaux Arts-style building that formerly housed the Council Bluffs Carnegie Free Public Library, opened to the public on Aug. 15, 1905. Parking is free on weekends. Admission to the museum is free, and costumes are optional.
