About this Event
The Royal Hospital Chelsea is the home of the iconic Chelsea Pensioners, who are all retired soldiers of the British Army. Since 1692, we have offered care and comradeship for veterans in recognition of their loyal service to the Nation. The Pensioners reside in the Grade I and II listed site, a beautiful architectural legacy left to us by King Charles II and Sir Christopher Wren.

The Royal Hospital is a working historic building, with a resident community of Army veterans over the age of 65 years. For their safety, we do retain some COVID-19 infection control measures, though these are consistently under review. We may ask you to present proof of a negative Lateral Flow Test, taken within 24 hours prior to admission to the Royal Hospital site.
The guided tour is inclusive of a visit to our museum and shop.
On the day please make your way to London Gate and have your ticket ready to show upon arrival. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your tour.
Please note that the Royal Hospital Chelsea reserves the right to cancel tours. If the Hospital has to cancel a tour at short notice we will reimburse in full or suggest another date that suits. Please also note as the Royal Hospital Chelsea is a working site, accessibility to areas of our site can be closed to visitors last minute.
