ABOUT THE EVENT:
Join art historian Tosca for an engaging and insightful tour of the National Gallery of Art. Discover a new perspective on art history as we explore the lives and works of French women artists from the 18th to the 20th century.
This English-language tour will delve into their struggles and triumphs, examining how they navigated a male-dominated art world and contributed to various artistic movements and revolutions. From their fight for access to education to their lasting impact on the art world, you'll gain a deeper appreciation for these often-overlooked masters and the stories behind their magnificent creations.
Please wear comfortable shoes. There are limited benches or chairs inside the Museum galleries.
While the tour is open to all ages, we ask parents with toddlers and young children to: 1. keep an eye on them ;
2. make sure that they do NOT run around;
